Our cycling friend Lars has now posted a small summary and image of the four special-efficient cycle that he now spent in the saddle.
Four years. 68 countries. 56,000 km.
Over the years, Lars has been through countless adventures!
One of them was Ethiopia that is unlike anything else he has been through - a myckert beautiful country with a huge story that knocks all the continent except Egypt, and the most racist people he has ever encountered. In by far.
Racism I met every day, however, disappeared when he came down from the highlands as a nervous wreck, and met the friendly people in remote South OMO valley. The woman in the picture belongs to ethnic group "Hamer" and had large scars on his back after ritual abuse.
Or, as he followed the road in northeastern Turkey in February 2007. It was cold. Very cool!
Lars cycled up a 2500 meter high mountain pass and ended up in a snowstorm. Often, he led the bike up - the ice and the wind made it impossible to pedal. How did he look when he reached the top. He had enormous luck that I could sleep on an oil center near the top. He came to stay there for almost an entire day. When he was about to go down, but it barely went over the road was all snow ...
